“I obtained my Associates in History from Vincennes University. While my time at VU was short, it has positively impacted my life and career goals."

"When I began I was leaning towards becoming a history teacher but quickly decided against it. It was my advisor who suggested I take more political science classes due to my positive experiences in my previous classes. She could see what I couldn’t, my love for not only politics, but the science behind it. Furthermore, she suggested I apply for an internship program in Washington, D.C. With her help and a couple letters of recommendation from other professors in the history and political science department, I was chosen.

Had it not been for my amazing professors and advisor in the history and political science department at VU, I never would have been able to spend 4 months in Washington, D.C. I met ambassadors, state and federal legislators, and CEOs of major companies among others. I even got to witness a presidential election firsthand. Yes, I obtained my Associates in History from Vincennes University but that was just the start. I found my purpose because of the dedication the professors, advisors, and other staff showed me, both in and out of the classroom. For all of these reasons, I am forever grateful.”
