This program allows students to begin study in the field of Family & Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Interior Design. A study in INTERIOR DESIGN  prepares an individual for positions in residential or commercial interior design, consulting, promotional work, and consumer education.

INTERIOR DESIGNERS make interior spaces functional, safe, and beautiful for almost every type of building:  homes, offices, shopping malls, restaurants, and businesses. They select and specify colors, finishes, fabrics, furniture, flooring, wall coverings, lighting and other materials to create useful and stylish interiors for buildings. If you have creative talent and an eye for design, this may be the field for you!

SALARY & EARNING POTENTIAL

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the median pay for interior designers in 2017 was $51,500.
