If you enjoy the field of fashion, then your enrollment in the Family & Consumer Sciences Department's Fashion program could be the first step to a rewarding career.  VU’s FASHION program leads to the Associate's degree and is designed to meet the needs of individuals entering the industry or transferring to a four-year school to continue their studies.

This program allows students to begin study in family and consumer sciences with an emphasis in Fashion. Depending upon educational attainment and experience, graduates in the field can expect employment in such positions as department managers, merchandise managers, buyers, or as manufacturers’ sales representatives. Numerous other fashion professionals work as personal shoppers, fashion/image consultants, visual display artists or small business owners.  This program also provides a good foundation for continuing study in the field of fashion design.
